Whitmire Dirtworks started from a passion I’ve had for heavy equipment, building things, and creating something of my own. At 22, I knew I wanted to build a business through hard work, hands-on experience, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Growing up in Western North Carolina, I’ve spent a lot of time around this land and understand the challenges that come with mountain properties, from drainage problems and steep terrain to the constant upkeep rural properties require.
My family has deep roots in this community, having lived here for generations, and that means a lot to me. Reputation matters in a place like this, and I’m building this business with the mindset that my name is attached to every job. I believe in showing up when I say I will, communicating honestly, and treating people fairly.
I started Whitmire Dirtworks because I wanted to build something real—not just a job, but a business I can grow over time into something respected and long-lasting. Right now, that means focusing on the kind of work I can do exceptionally well, building trust one project at a time, and continuing to invest in the equipment, knowledge, and experience to grow the business the right way.
As an owner-operator, when you hire Whitmire Dirtworks, you’re working directly with me—not a salesperson or a rotating crew. My goal is simple: earn a reputation in Western North Carolina for hard work, reliability, and quality that people remember.
